Job Description
Human Resource Generalist
Work Schedule: Full Time
Salary: $40,000 to $80,000
Location: Washington, DC metropolitan area
The CIA is seeking highly motivated individuals who want to be a part of the world's premier intelligence organization. Outstanding HR Generalists are needed to provide HR leadership and expertise; to be responsible for developing diverse HR improvement processes; and to devise problem-solving programs and strategies on corporate HR issues. You will consult with and educate managers on employee relations issues, organizational development, performance management and employee development. You will work at the corporate level in support of worldwide intelligence operations, or in operating units that are charged with conducting or supporting worldwide intelligence operations.

Minimum requirements include a BA in human resources, or a BA/BS in business management with a minor/specialty in HR, along with a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Knowledge of HR and business principles, excellent oral and written communications skills, the ability to work across organizations to build support for new ideas and approaches, strong organizational and problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are also needed. A minimum of 3-7 years' Human Resources experience is preferred, and Professional Human Resources (PHR) status is a plus.
All applicants must successfully complete a thorough medical and psychological exam, a polygraph interview and an extensive background investigation. US citizenship is required.
To be considered suitable for Agency employment, applicants must generally not have used illegal drugs within the last twelve months. The issue of illegal drug use prior to twelve months ago is carefully evaluated during the medical and security processing.
